Clearing Up Myths About Mental Health from Social Media
This session will pinpoint different areas in which mental health can be negatively impacted by screen time and social media. The use of apps such as Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, and more, can negatively effect adolescents and teens especially in regards to body image, self-worth, relationships, loneliness and hopelessness. The goal of this presentation is to develop an understanding of when technology is impacting your child’s mental health and to gain knowledge regarding the appropriate skills needed to get ahead of social media negativity and guide kids in the digital age.
